- Inositol Hexaphosphate (IP6) is also known as myo-inositol
hexaphosphate
an all natural substance

in doing so, IP6 would lose one or more phosphate (P) and could
yield more crucial IP3.

mice with enriched diets, had their

to the diet*. Other studies have shown that

with high cholesterol have higher levels of zinc in their
system compared to copper. IP6 actually normalizes
the zinc to
copper ratio. Other studies in animals have been shown to

Diabetes |

| Inositol deficiencies within the cells
in patients with diabetes (such as altered sensations
in nerves in hands and feet, cataract and retinal damage & early
derangements in kidney functions). Dosages of Inositol,
ranging from 0.5 grams twice daily to 3 grams/day have been
given to patients with diabetic neuropathy*. Results to
date support that oral supplementation of Inositol may benefit
in the prevention and treatment of neural complications
of “diabetes mellitus”. |

Kidney Stones (Urolithiasis) |

| Most kidney stones are caused by an abnormal
accumulation of calcium oxalate and calcium phosphate. It
is known that 1-3% of total administered IP6 is excreted
in the human urine. Experiments have shown IP6, IP2& IP3 are effective in preventing the formation of calcium crystals*.
Thus a urinary content of inositol phosphates would effectively
inhibit kidney stone formation. In the past diets containing
high amounts of IP6 (rice bran) have been used to treat
kidney stones. It is easier to take a small amount of Inositol & Cal Mag IP6 in tablet or capsule form. |

Heart Disease |

Inflammation and Fibrosis |

| Fibrosis is the formation
of fibrous tissue in the lungs as a reaction to an irritant
such as asbestos. Because IP6 can remove iron or inactive
free radicals, it reduces the tissue damage during inflammation
decreasing potential risk of DNA damage. Test on rats exposed
to asbestos, showed significantly less fibrosis in the rat
control group fed IP6*. |

- The striking anti cancer effect of Inositol & Cal Mag IP6 was
demonstrated in different experimental models.
- In addition to reducing cell proliferation, IP6 increases
differentiation of malignant cells, often resulting reversion
to normal phenotype.
- Enhanced immunity and antioxidant properties of Inositol & Cal Mag IP6 can also contribute to tumour cell destruction.
However, the molecular mechanism underlying the anti cancer
action are not fully understood. Because it is abundantly
present in regular diet, efficiently absorbed from the
gastrointestinal tract and safe, IP6 holds great promise
in our strategies for prevention and treatment of cancer.
- Inositol & Cal Mag IP6 enhance the anti cancer effect of conventional
chemotherapy, controls cancer metastasis and improves
the quality of life, as shown in a pilot clinical trial.

The data strongly argue for the use of Inositol & Cal Mag IP6 in our strategies for cancer prevention and treatment. However, the effectiveness and safety of Inositol & Cal Mag IP6 at therapeutic doses needs to be determined in Phase I and Phase II clinical trials in humans. |
